I did this set of three for a friend that got married a couple of weeks ago.

Art Archive

Welcome to Grayson’s art page. Periodically, I showcase original art here. While the majority is my own, I also like to put some of my favorite pieces by lesser known artists here. All work is copyrighted and the rights belong solely to the creator.

If you’re interested in purchasing a piece of art you see here, or getting postcards with the images, please contact me.

Original Artwork completed by Roderick Williams. Roderick is probably the most brilliant and troubled artist I know. Click on the Thumbnail and look closely, it’s all done in your standard issue Bic pen.

Another piece by Roderick. This piece was completed with colored pencil. Click on it and see the larger image.

This is one of my favorite pieces by me. I was painting with my god daughter one day and we both did lavender flowers.

Another piece from my lilac/lavender/violet period.

OK, so maybe it’s not a Christmas Tree. But when the artist, a good friend of mine, said it was untitled, I figured I would name it!

I gave some very specific instructions about where and how to hang it.

But, I’m just happy if my instruction is ignored :). They were a gift after all.

WallPaper - November 2007, Grayson Reyes-Cole, acryllic

I’ve often thought that I should just design wall paper or fabric. I’m better at patterns it seems than actual subject matter. I really like this piece.

I could never really decide whether she was flying or diving. So I’ve decided she’s dancing.

Old Earth - Grayson Reyes-Cole
Acryllic

I call this Old Country because this painting reminds me of when I was little and went to church on Sundays in the country. It’s like many of the well-loved table cloths or drapes that I was mesmerized by before getting called out into the woods to pick plums and blackberries.

I did this painting almost two years ago. It was for a friend but alas, it stayed in my possession too long for me to give it up. The painting is done all in high shine metallic acrylic the picture here helps you see what it looks like. Click it to see other pictures that helps you see how shiny it is! It almost looks like a sheet of tempered copper in person. Hope you like it.

Untitled 2- Grayson Reyes-Cole
Acryllic

My mother and I disagree about this painting. When I finished it, she asked, “Ahh… are you going to leave it like that?” I said, “Yep.” I like it and it’s hanging in my living room. I’d also like to mention that it is huge and dominates one wall. It fits very nicely in the room and has been there now for two years. All of the paints are either high gloss or metallic which makes the painting take on different features depending on the time of day, which I also like.

This painting is called rainy day because it reminds me of a windy day with rain, with the sun still fighting to shine. See it?

Yes, I’m from Alabama and when I painted this I really had a very specific memory in mind. A hot summer day out in the country, the smell of fresh grass and berries all around. Something wonderful and tasty inside cooking, and the laundry being put out to dry.
